Adelaide Marcus (http://www.ArtByAdelaide.com) was born to 2 artists parents. Her mother a dancer, and father a painter. This creation titled, The Cycle of Life was inspired by one of her fathers' Hal Marcus' paintings called, The Magic Bus. In his painting Adelaide is playing with hoops and all of her close performance friends are in or on the magical bus. Adelaide's unique style is actually very similar to that of her fathers, but not to many people get to appreciate this as she lives in San Diego, CA and he in El Paso, TX. They are both a part of the performance art community which is evident in many paintings. Watch this video to learn more about the symbolism behind this Whimsical painting. music by: Balstyrko & Balkan Beatbox Hal Marcus' Flik on his Harlequin series: http://www....

Adelaide Marcus (www.ArtByAdelaide.com) and Scott sterling (aka Drumspyder) Bring to the stage the magic of ancient tradition with an electronic weave, Adelaide and Drumspyder give life to the open space between dancer and musician. Adelaide, a second generation dancer of Syrian descent, has Middle Eastern rhythms engrained on a cellular level. Paired with Drumspyder's technical expertise in dumbec rhythms, these 2 effortlessly bring an organic vigor to the electronic playing field. More than a spectacle, this duo elicits a feeling of inspiration! Adelaide's performances bring out musical nuances and captivate the senses, tuning the audience in to the bumping sounds of Drumspyder as they move through their very own embodiment of sacred connection. This is only their 3rd performance togethe...

Adelaide Marcus (www.ArtByAdelaide.com) is a visionary artist. Her Art Speaks about spiritual growth, imagination, and current states. This art piece titled Default Evolution, talks about the mechanical nature of humans in today's society. It goes along side her message in her "conscious collaboration" video projects, in which robots are finding their heart after the world as they new it becomes taken over and destroyed. This gave to the name of the piece. Adelaide believes that its time to recognize the state of our home and our minds so we can re-program and tap into a more grand source of power. Artists Alex Seton discusses his work, 'Someone died trying to have a life like mine', 2013 (Wombeyan marble, nylon webbing, dimensions variable © Alex Seton. Courtesy the artist, Jan Murphy Gallery, Brisbane, and Sullivan+Strumpf, Sydney). Seton's work for the Biennial, titled Someone died trying to have a life like mine, references an incident whereby the lifejackets of 28 asylum seekers were discovered washed-up on Cocos Island off the coast of Western Australia in May 2013. Seton's solemn marble re-enactment forms an enduring memorial for what he describes as, "simply 28 souls likely lost at sea". In Evolutionaura Chinese-Australian artist Ah Xian continues his exploration of the human figure. Like the artist himself, the figures occupy an in-between space -- between countries and cultures. Xian sought political asylum in Australia in the post-Tiananmen period of the early 1990s, which provides, in Evolutionaura as elsewhere, an enduring conceptual basis informing his practice. Comprised of eight life-size bronze busts, Ah Xian's series references the traditional Chinese appreciation of the alchemic qualities of minerals, affixed to the casts in mimicry of a magnetic effect. The use of Lingbi stone hailing from Lingbi County in Anhui Province places the works within the traditions of Chinese philosophy and art, and is commonly referred to as 'scholar's stone'.
